My Ma's village- the place where the sun shines brighter.
I was born in one of the most popular cities of the world and was raised here and I am still growing here. I'm ever so grateful for the life my parents have built for our little family in the city and they've always provided for everything one could wish for. Although this city has made me what I am today (and I'll always remember that) I have never felt as much peace here, as I always do when I'm away into the woods and farms of the small village my Mum comes from.
I'm glad my Mum and Dad didn't keep this life and place away from me as a lot of people do. Globally the village/country and its people are looked down upon by the Urban and are often mistreated only because they're simple. What they fail to realize is that this simplicity is much richer than all the material they might posses. These are the people who grow their food(ours too) with love and respect, they are honest and harmonious. They value the important things in life and live in some of the most beautiful places of the planet and in purity. Its sad when people are ashamed of their village connections and try their best to hide them. I'm grateful for I've seen and lived in the country (if not for long) for it has made me humble, kept me rooted and has instilled in me a sense of respect for nature.
However Times are changing and in the name of development the villages are being robbed of their simplicity. This transformation is inevitable and although adverse it is also important. I only wish the people don't change. But who am I kidding!? I'm only happy I've grown with a part of the village in me. And have seen it and lived there before T.V sets and mobile phones made their way into the villages.
