I've been running quite a bit this week 🏃🏻♀️💨and have been experiencing some hip pain initially after, and now during. 😣I think it's due to skipping a solid stretch routine. *after every workout says to self - "I'll stretch longer tomorrow..." A couple of years ago, doing this was no problem for me, now I'm feelin' it. I think that's what the little tinge of annoying pain is from, at least I'm hoping it's that simple anyway. I did some hip loosening exercises (posted on my FB page too!) and now I'm here for some Viparita Karani / Legs up the Wall ... and the bed today. My favorite pose, for the obvious reasons being that it takes little effort but also because it feels restoring and calming. It's also good for many other reasons - back pain, stretching the back of legs, good for circulation, hormonal balancing, menstruation relief, immunity, digestive function, even anxiety...ze'list goes on. Physical self-care has many facets so even though we've done our bodies good by getting some active movement in, being more conscious to take it that step further to support our bodies in recovering well from it, is doing it good too! So yep, here I am, legs hanging up. I'm going to put my earphones in with some chill music, going to breathe for a few minutes and then enjoy Friday! 😎 Have a good one guys!
