The Vittoria lighthouse site offers a year-round breathtaking view of the Gulf of Trieste, particularly during the famous Barcolana regatta. ✔️You can visit the Lighthouse for free, however pay attention to the opening hours: open just on weekends. The visit to the tower, with a duration of 15 minutes and maximum of 15 people at a time is permitted only up to the second landing.
Being in Italy, visitors might expect to see the classical Catholic church around, but it's not the case with Monte Grisa. One can see it from everywhere in town as it is stuck up to overlook the city. It's an impressive construction with unusual shape. ✔️Visitors are allowed only when there is no religious service (mass) in progress. Entrance is free. On the terrace, you can enjoy stupendous views of Trieste and the across the bay.
Castle of Saint Giusto (Castello di San Giusto), with a marvelous panorama out to the city which hosts the cathedral, the castle, and a the ruins of a Roman temple. ✔️Entrance fee is 3 euro. Museum is closed on Monday
