Don't you like this name for a yoga class? 😉 This is my newest online practice that just arrived in my class library for my subscribers. It's a complement to my "Strong Steady Flow" series of classes - it offers the awesome feeling of a flow practice in which we move with breath from one pose to the next, but with a more mellow sequence that doesn't require as much work/effort as my Strong Steady Flow classes. (Whoo hoo!) ... Plus there are some great creative movements included that will challenge your body in fun new ways (yes, we do do *some* actual work in this class!) 😊 ... Prasarita Paddotanasana C demo with head and hands down. Normally, practicing in socks isn’t ideal, but it is the beginning of freezing temps here and the bottoms of my toes are getting shredded from rolling over. Come on, we’ll all love the look of black socks, right? Despite the odds-hurting / cold feet and a pile of laundry just out of view, practice happened. Thousands of excuses can get in the way, but you must practice self care before you can practice love and care on anyone else. It's a fundamental pose and a regular part of #Ashtanga practice. 1. Take a wide (doesn't have to be very wide) stance (adjust it to your needs, respect how open your hips are), your toes may slightly point inwards. Inhale and go down on exhale laying your hands on the mat, if possible into one line with your feet (if you feel pain in the back of your knees, get your feet narrower). 2. With the next inhale straighten your back as if wanting to get the spine longer. 3. With exhale try to place your head between your palms. Don't force it. Don't hold your breath. Breathe 5x. 4. On the next inhale straighten your back first and on exhale put your hands on your hips. 5. Get up completely on the next inhale. 🍊🍊🍊 😀👍 Stay careful, listen to your body and don't forget to breathe! 😀💪 Join us today 😀. It's easy. 👇 1.
