When we started our trek up Garfield Peak, the sun was shining, birds were chirping, and there were only a few clouds in the sky. We stopped off at this view point, and watched the storm roll in a matter of minutes. That unmistakable silence before thunder and lightning dominate the sky, only broken by gusts of wind and marmots warning each other of what was coming. We had about 10 minutes to rest, and snap a few shots before being pelted by grape sized hail, and having to rush down the trail, taking cover under patches of trees. It was the time of my life, and I got to experience it with my amazing wife. Happy anniversary @haley_brandel.
