I'm super stoked that over the weekend, I hit 10K followers here on Instagram! I'm so grateful to my friends and supporters on here, especially at a time where I'm recovering from an injury and can't provide any adventure content right now. Thank you again and stay tuned for a giveaway to celebrate 10K!

Me and the great great grandson of Chief Seattle. The man who my city was named after. As much as I love my city, it is stolen land. We are all on stolen land. The #duwamish people were the first peoples of Seattle, as well as many other #indigenous nations. We have to admit and start to work on repairing the injustices done to #firstnations. That means stopping the celebration of #columbusday , not appropriating culture (DO NOT dress up like a #nativeamerican for this Halloween 🎃!) Most importantly it means being an active #ally - attend an event of #firstpeoples . Show up to help the #puyallup tribe fight the LNG Plant, and all the other #fossilfuel projects being built in indigenous treaty land. If you have privilege and recourses and time on your hands- use it for good. #climatejustice #activism #nativenationsrise

Love love Valerie Red-Horse and her incredible film "Mankiller." Felt so privileged to sit in an audience filled with pivitol characters from the Cherokee Nation. You could feel the outpouring of emotion for this teacher and leader Wilma Mankiller. She was a feminist revolutionary that despite extreme sexism became the first female Chief of the Cherokee Nation. Very few people leave such a mark during their short time on this earth. It was truly a special experience to sit amongst her family and friends. WATCH "Mankiller" on PBS in March!! #nativenationsrise #rise #oklahoma #tulsaamericanfilmfestival #mankiller #documentary

I decided to cut my hair. I cut it about almost 3 months ago right before school started. I was getting bullied a lot and called a girl because of my long braid. I was dealing with a lot of problems and thought this would be a good way to get rid of all that negative energy. I'm still getting used to it, but I like it! I might grow it back out later and no matter what, I'm still #INDIGENOUS!
