Bikini & Bar-b-que Season! ~Embrace Your Beautiful
Memorial Day Weekend, the unofficial start of summer, also marks the start of both bikini and BBQ season!
Here are a few tips to help you navigate thru this particularly challenging start to all things summer!! 👓🎉🏊🍸🍉 ✔Fill up on veggie options versus potato, macaroni, and creamy cole slaw salads. One great option is a grilled veggie-kabob. ✔If you love starches..pick your fav and have that one (potato salad, for example) but only that one...and only one serving. ✔Don't just sit in the lawn chair all day, get up and move! Volleyball, kickball, basketball, chasing the kids around the yard! Standing and talking (versus sitting) actually burns more calories! ✔Rethink your drink! How about a wine spritzer versus a glass of wine or a light beer? And, don't forget to hydrate! Drink plenty of H2O! ✔Eat lean protein like grilled chicken or turkey breast, salmon, shrimp or a grilled Portobello mushroom vs hot dogs, fatty burgers and sausages.
