Seriously read this... “We live in a culture that perpetuates the belief that when our days are busy and exciting, we are more valuable, more important, or more alive. In truth, we are all of those things when we can be at peace within our own skin. Despite our best intentions to live balanced lives, the modern world demands that we are almost always connected and productive, and these demands can drain us emotionally, spiritually, and physically.
What if, instead of being constantly on the go, you valued intentional quiet time, sacred space, and silence? How would that change your life?”
I am completely guilty of keeping myself SO busy that I forget to take time to recharge and evaluate how I'm actually feeling. The other night I said out loud to Zach that I felt guilty if I sat down and watched a movie because I knew that I could be doing other things to be more productive... I mean how crazy is that!? 🤷🏻♀️😅
Between going to school full time, living off campus, paying all my own bills, working on campus, working at a winery on the weekends, and owning my own business life is crazzzzyyy busy. My own sister told me yesterday that my life is too busy for her to keep up with 😱
I'm almost always GO, GO, GO that sometimes I don't even KNOW how to slow down. But I realize that I NEED to get better about taking time for myself because it has a huge impact on every aspect of my life.
“Research proves that rest melts your stress away. Practices like yoga and meditation also lower heart rates, blood pressure, and oxygen consumption and alleviate hypertension, arthritis, insomnia, depression, infertility, cancer, and anxiety. The spiritual benefits of resting are profound."
I'm sharing this because I knowwwww that there are a million others out there that can relate and I really hope that this serves as a reminder to them to take some time out of their day for themselves to actually just REST! ❤️ #passthepeace #restup #taketimeforyourself
