Water fast post 6 of 6 at 92 hours fasted. This was my last journal entry of the fast right as I decided to eat.
I broke my fast with a giant smoothie with Greek yogurt, blueberries, and leafy greens. My body was totally fine after re introducing food, and overall the fast was one of the easier and more mind blowing things I've done.
Crazy what the body can do when in an optimal state of health.

🍴Chick-fil-A has many great options to eat when cutting down including:
🍽 Grilled Nuggets (8 count) - 140 Calories (4 g carbs, 23 g protein, 3 g fat)
That option ☝🏼️ pretty much mimics the macros of your standard whey protein powder!
🍽 Grilled Chicken Sandwich - 310 calories (36 g carbs, 29 g protein, 6 g fat)
🍽Grilled Chicken Cool Wrap - 350 calories (14 g net carbs, 37 g protein, 14g fat) This option also includes 15 g of fiber, 60% RDA vitamin a, and 35% RDA calcium and vitamin C!
🍽Even the standard Chick-fil-A Chicken sandwich is not a bad at option at 440 calories (40 g carbs, 28 g protein, and 19 g fat)
💀💀 Avoid the large waffle fries and chocolate shake as they are LOADED in calories. If you stick to what they are known for (chicken), you will be fine for the most part macro wise👍🏼👍🏼

You may or may not have noticed that I haven't been posted any food or exercise pictures for the past few days. Well that's because I decided to do a short 3 day fast. Fasting is simply abstaining for all food for a period of time!
After 3 full days of fasting, I got to break my fast this morning. I started Sunday night after dinner around 5:30pm and ended this morning at 9:30am. The first two days I actually felt hunger around 10:30 and about 5pm. But yesterday I didn't feel hungry at all!! I was able to quell the sensation by constantly drinking electrolyte water ( water, lemon juice and salt!) as suggested by the protocol I was following.
I chose to embark on this fast for my overall health and wellness! That may sound counter intuitive to some, but the truth is there are many health benefits to fasting! Now, I'm in no way suggesting you do this yourself. I prepared for weeks before doing this and did a ton of research!
Surprisingly, I feel and felt really well throughout the whole thing! I was expecting to feel weak and tired, but that was certainly not the case! It's amazing what the body can do when the mind tells it to!
So with this little experiment, I was supposed to reintroduce foods that are considered inflammatory such as nightshade veggies like tomatoes, potatoes and egg plants! So I started out with a a bulletproof coffee around 8am just because I figured I'd get my stomach working a little before putting anything else in there. I reintroduced a snack sized portion of tomatoes 🍅 first around 9:50am and waited to see if I had a negative reaction. I was shocked that I didn't have any reaction since I always felt like tomatoes make my tongue itch!
About an hour after eating the tomato, I had a small handful of pistachios. Not because I thought they affected me in any way, but because I wanted to see if they did. And to my delight, no reaction. Another hour after that, I ate a little bit of raw coconut just because I love coconuts! lol 😂 and seeing that there's no reaction from any of these items, I decided to eat a normal lunch of avocado, jicama and carrot salad, sautéed greens and leftover carnitas.
