…We had to walk three miles back toward the ranger station and our assigned campsite. We planned to set up our tents, eat, hang our food, and walk back to Dunanda Falls in the dark, using headlamps. We could be there by ten or eleven. At that time the full moon would clear the east ridge of the downriver canyon and would be shining directly on the fall • • • • • #wilderness #optoutside #instanature #14ers #wood #communityfirst #coffee #scenery #besthikes #getoutside #outdoorlife #nikonphotography #details #spring #bestoforegon #instagramde #mountains #water #montagna #backcountrycamping #sun #europe #photography #landscape #thenaturalstate #earthpix #clouds #outsideisfree #aspen #naturelover

Shot this along the Oregon coast as the setting sun turned the rocky coastline into towering silhouettes. One of my favorite spots of the trip! #oregon #pinnacleexposure

One of the many signs at the Rose Garden located at the Philip Foster Farm, which is full of these little tidbits of interesting history that explain the story behind each beautiful rose variety. The story of Billy and his lonely house at the end of the road in the forest is fascinating and stirs up a lot of questions and makes you wonder. Was he lonely out there? Or did he love living off the grid, away from people and the stress of the modern world? What was it like in the winter? What made him decide to come out and play his fiddle? Seeing him ride into town on his horse with his white beard flowing must have been a sight to behold.

The baths are cut out of timber. Water is very hot...too hot to bathe in for me anyway. So I carried up 10 buckets of water from the "creek" as they call it....or as it'd be called in Ireland.....the stream. Anyhow bath right temp I soaked here for 45 mins. Not many ppl there the day we went. #BagbyHotSprings #ClackamasWilderness #MountHoodWilderness #PNW #PacificNorthWest #RoadTrip #Explore #AmericanRoadTrip #Portland #Oregon #BestOfOregon #OregonExplored #YourOregon
